Faux Fireplace

I have always wanted a house with a fireplace. I grew up with one and don't know how Santa has managed to visit me since?
Anyway, I ran across this from Vintage Revivals and thought it was crazy brilliant (surprising how those 2 words often go together in my mind). If my next house doesn't come with a fireplace, should I make one?

    Thanks Maria! Now I want one too! I can't have a real fireplace because of my allergies, but oh! this one is lovely!

    Absolutley!!! That is awesome. I always wanted a fireplace growing up and have been lucky enough to have one in both our houses.
